NetLink MP Family

NetLink MP is a native point to multi point wireless networking solution designed for high throughput and high number of stations. This means it is not a point to point radio which is used in a point to multi point scenario, like many other point to multi point solutions.

The main station is called Access Unit (AU) and can be connected to an Omni directional antenna or a sectoral antenna depending on geographical distribution of child stations. A complete base station can be consisted of up to 4 AUs each connected to a 90 degree antenna, covering a total 360 degree area around the base station. Such a base station is called a "complete cell". Each AU has a 10/100 Ethernet port and AUs in each cell can be connected to a switch which can be connected to the outside network or Internet.

The child stations are called Station Units (SU) and each have an Ethernet port for connection to a network at the remote site. SUs are also called Customer premises Equipment (CPE)

Access Unit (AU)

• Frequency Band: 5.8 Ghz (Unlicensed band)

• On air throughput on each AU: 54 Mbps

• Effective throughput: 30 Mbps (measured in relevant radio conditions)

• Total effective cell throughput with 4 AUs in a cell: 120 Mbps

• Maximum cell radius: 15 Km with full throughput, up to 30 Km with lower modulations

• Available in both rack mount and stand alone models

• Output power at RF port (AU): 20 dBm (250 mWatt)

• Orthogonal Frequency Domain Multiplexing (OFDM)

• RF Modulation: up to 64 QAM adaptive modulation

• Outdoor unit working temperature: -40 to +40 degrees

• Maximum 256 SUs to be connected to each AU

• Integrated lightning arrestor

• Works in Near Line Os Site (NLOS) or no line of site scenarios (subject to signal to noise ratio in the receiving side)

• Indoor/Outdoor unit configuration, no AC power to outdoor unit on the mast

• Indoor to outdoor cable: Cat 5s or Cat6

• All necessary installation parts are integrated and comes with the unit.
